[conda] Intel channel - corrupt files

Hi,

I am not sure whether this is the right forum. I am a long time user of
Anaconda, and wanted to give the Intel packages a try. For that I followed
the instructions from the web pages that detail the integration of Intel's
python packages with
anaconda https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/using-intel-distribution-for-python-with-anaconda

The problem I see is that most packages are corrupt. I do not see these
problems when I remove the channel and stick to the default distribution

SafetyError: The package for nose located at
C:\Users\JuanJose\Miniconda3\pkgs\nose-1.3.7-py36_intel_16
appears to be corrupted. The path 'Scripts/nosetests.exe'
has a sha256 mismatch.
reported sha256:
d3c949216ec488400351482955b8593b5887e79def45f6020b6dd280e1807482
actual sha256:
0348c27a59b1ff6db794f063f0f4ac137f75de39f20e6708cf15a5fedaedc8f4

Is this a known issue? Can I just ignore it?

Cheers,

Juanjo

Juanjo,

Sorry that you had trouble with the Intel packages on anaconda.org. The
reported corruption was due to digital signing that we did of Windows
binaries after checksums were computed during the conda-build process. The
signing changed the checksums, so conda flags those files as corrupt. The
report is actually benign, but certainly a problem that requires fixing.

I have updated intelpython3_full and the other Windows metapackages to
resolve the problem, so you should no longer see reports for corrupt files
using the command you used.

You are also welcome to post questions or concerns on our product forums,

.

Thank you,
Todd

Great! Thanks for the quick reply. I will change forums now – I asked here because I assumed it was a conda problem, not Intel’s, although Intel’s Python bundle also failed to install on my site, perhaps for similar reasons.
